Position: Industrial Designer
Location: Kya Sands
Salary: R 16 000 – R 21 000 per month
Description:
The detailing department is a department of Industrial Designers. Our primary aim is to communicate designs effectively, efficiently and accurately from designer through to manufacturing and installation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Design
- Ability to read and understand Floor plans and production drawings
- Ability to produce concise manufacturing and technical drawings
- Generating cutting lists for production
- Strong ability to critically analyse the work scope and time manage accordingly
- Find the best and most efficient construction and installation method with optimal material usage
- A general understanding of working with CNC and programming for CNC
- Effectively communicate with suppliers and manufacturing personal
- A good understanding of 3D CAD Software
- Understanding a variety of materials and the material properties and limitations
- The ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple jobs at any given time
- Quick to adapt to change
- Able to manage timeline expectations
