Position: Junior Chef De Partie / Commis Chef
Location: Cape Town
Salary: R4, 500 per month
Description:
A small luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town is looking for a Junior Chef De Partie or Commis Chef to join their team. The role will consist of providing a service in the kitchen and will be fully responsible for the preparation of certain menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of food items
- Maintain hygiene and cleaning standard
- Good communication skills with senior staff
- Stock taking
- Ordering on a daily and weekly basis from suppliers
- Working shifts assigned to you
- Assisting in other areas of the kitchen as required
- Training and development in cooking and kitchen skills
Education:
- Matric or Grade 12 certificate
- Culinary degree or certificate
- 1-2 years cooking experience in a hotel or restaurant.
