Sales – JHB and Cape Town






Position:                  Sales Account Manager / Sales Rep

Location:                 Johannesburg and Cape Town

Salary:                     R 16, 000 to R 24, 000 per month (dependent on experience)

Benefits:                  Basic; Uncapped Commission and Incentives

Our client, a leader in the Hospitality / Liquor (Wine) Industry; is urgently seeking strong Sales Account Managers for their Johannesburg and Cape Town branches.  The successful candidates are required to meet and exceed sales targets by calling on, managing and servicing a set base of clients to sell products as well as further grow the client base.



  • Meet and Exceed Sales targets and KPI’s
  • Developing “out of the box” sales plans and actionable ideas, implementing these and evaluating their effectiveness
  • Evaluating customers’ needs and building productive long lasting relationships
  • Establish new accounts by organizing and planning daily work schedule to build on existing or potential sales outlets
  • Study the type of sales outlet / customer and adjust content of sales presentations to maximise sales and ROI
  • Study potential volume of dealers and focus on sales efforts
  • Make and submit orders by referring to product literature and price lists
  • Gather current marketplace information on newly introduced products, delivery schedules, pricing, and merchandising techniques in order to monitor competition
  • Investigate problems; prepare reports; develop solutions and make recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaints
  • Attend educational workshops; review publications and be involved in professional societies
  • Provide historical records by keeping records on customer inquiries and sales
  • Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals.
  • Events, functions to continually promote the company products and ultimately contribute to sales target achievement
  • Any other function that enables additional sales and benefit to the Company as a whole
  • The successful candidate is expected to travel daily and deliver high quality performance


Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Account Manager / Sales rep in similar environment with ability to call on and service customers daily
  • Preferably have a network within the Hospitality/Liquor/Wine Industry
  • Tertiary education (sales marketing)advantageous-Wine studies (WSET/CWA) preferable
  • Strong communication/Negotiation skills
  • Advanced Computer skills (MS Office and PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to work proactively and independently
  • Ability to respect processes and to apply validated sales techniques
  • Prepared to work weekends and evenings where required
  • Own car and cell phone
