Position:  Senior Sous Chef

Location:  Johannesburg North

Salary:  R15, 000 – R17, 000 per month

Description:

A privately owned upmarket restaurant in Johannesburg North, that offers a uniquely fine dining experience to all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for running kitchen in its full capacity
  • Stock and loss control
  • Running of the Pass and Pass control
  • Ordering daily stock from suppliers
  • Weekly and month-end stock takes
  • Creation of seasonal menu changes
  • Staff recruitment and training of staff
  • Managing disciplinary procedures
  • Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards of kitchen
  • Dietary requirements for guests
  • Guest feedback
  • Menu planning

Education:

  • Matric
  • Culinary arts certification or degree
  • 2-3 years’ Senior Sous chef experience

  • Excellent culinary skills

  • Hardworking and willingness to work long hours
